Office Hours and Appointments

Office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Appointment times fill up quickly; therefore we recommend calling 4-6 weeks in advance for a greater selection of times. Appointments are made on physician referral only.

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment. Although there are occasional delays, we pride ourselves on seeing our patients on time.

We actively utilize a waiting list to fill cancellations and to see patients who need urgent care. Our cancellation policy requires that you notify our office at least 48 hours in advance to cancel your appointment. Excessive no-shows or cancellations may result in dismissal from our practice.

To more efficiently respond to your needs, our registered nurses are available during office hours to answer your questions and respond to your concerns. They act as a liaison between you and your doctor.

  • Completed your "New Patient Information" and "Health History" forms?

  • Co-payment (cash, check or charge)

Form Fees

Effective 9/1/05, Neurology Associates is happy to coninue assisting you with the completion of forms and medical records requests. You will be responsible for a minimal charge to help cover retrieval fees, handling costs and physician time. Payment is expected at the time of the request to finalize processing. Thank you.

Insurance and Billing

We accept most insurance plans. When you schedule your appointment, please verify that we honor your plan.

Insurance companies change frequently-it is important that you bring your most recent insurance cards to each visit. Your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance company. Many insurance companies require you to make a co-payment at the time of your appointment (refer to your insurance card for the correct amount). We will collect your co-pay at the time of your visit.

If your insurance requires you to provide a referral, you are responsible for obtaining it from your primary care physician prior to your appointment time. If you do not obtain a referral, we will ask that you sign a waiver agreeing to be responsible for the charges.

We file all insurance claims for you. Many insurance companies take 30-90 days to make payment. Once payment is received, a bill will be generated showing any balance owed. All payments on balances due are due in full upon receipt.

Neurology Associates accepts cash, personal checks, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover. There is a $25 fee for any returned checks.

If you do not have health insurance, please contact our billing department to make payment arrangements prior to your appointment.

Hospitals

Neurology Associates, Inc., has three physicians on staff, allowing each physician to rotate every three weeks through hospital based care.

St. Mary's Health Center is our main hospital affiliate, but we also provide coverage at St. Luke's Hospital, Missouri Baptist Hospital, St. John's Mercy Medical Center, and Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
